Bridesmaid Invitations

The big day for my fiancé and me is just six short months away and we are just getting started with making all of the wedding arrangements! My palms get sweaty every time that she mentions it. I know that she is the perfect girl for me but I just can't help being nervous. All of my married friends keep telling me to just let her and her close friends do all of the planning. My involvement will only lead to a series of petty arguments and the calling off of the wedding at least a dozen times, they keep saying. The problem is…that I'm the one who will be paying for this entire fiasco. I mean I love my fiancé but I just don't think I'm ready to give her and her friends my credit card to spend wildly as I'm sure they would if given the chance. No sir, I am definitely going to supervise the purchasing frenzy that is sure to ensue. After all, I plan on buying a home for the two of us just as soon as we get back from out honeymoon. The honeymoon! I can just picture the trail of cash raining down behind our plane as we depart to far away lands to celebrate our love. I'm getting off track now. The point of this story is that I want to share in the joy of planning our wedding with my future wife. I imagine it will be one of the most memorable moments in our lives together.

So we have decided to split up the huge list of tasks between us. She will have the help of her girlfriends but I seriously doubt that any of my long married and bitter friends will be interested in helping me. That's o.k. though. I have the most amazing tool to help me with all of my efforts. It's called…the internet! She is going to handle all of the girly stuff. You know, wedding invitations, bridesmaid invitations, flower arrangements, finding a wedding dress and other stuff like that. I on the other hand will be taking care of things like arranging for the limousine, buying the rings and hiring a deejay. Of course, we'll have to sit down every night and share our ideas and progress with each other. And I'll have to consult my bank account on a regular basis. I really think though, that this approach will work out just fine and be fun for the both of us in our own ways. Although I must admit, we have already had our first disagreement with regards to the music. I want to hire a live band to play oldies and other relevant wedding tunes. She wants to hire a deejay to spin hip hop and raise the roof. I explained that since I am paying for this wedding, I'll not have it ruined with some teenage noise that shouldn't even be classed as music. So now, the wedding is off. But I have a feeling we'll be making up soon.
